OverviewThe GTM Engineer will be a core member of the Civitas Growth Partners (“CGP”) team, serving as a shared technical resource across our portfolio companies. This role is focused on value creation through technology: you will architect, build, and deploy AI-driven sales and marketing stacks that help our companies scale more efficiently.
ResponsibilitiesDrive technical implementation of GTM strategies across the portfolio, including:Auditing existing portfolio company tech stacks (CRM, outreach tools, data providers) to identify inefficiencies.Designing and building automated outbound sales workflows using tools like Clay, Apollo, Smartlead, or custom Python scripts.Integrating AI agents and LLMs into sales processes to automate research, personalization, and lead scoring.Lead data operations and systems architecture, including:Sourcing, managing, and optimizing CRM architecture (HubSpot/Salesforce) to ensure clean data flow and accurate reporting.Building API integrations (using Zapier, Make, or custom code) between disparate marketing and sales tools.Developing dashboards to monitor GTM efficiency, CAC, and pipeline velocity.Collaborate with portfolio leadership on strategy and adoption, including:Participating in portfolio company strategy sessions to align technical builds with revenue goals.Training sales and marketing teams on new tools to ensure adoption and ROI.Engaging in special projects around revenue operations, growth hacking, and sales enablement as needed
Qualifications2–5 years of experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Engineering, Growth Engineering, or a technical product role at a B2B SaaS company.Verifiable and proven track record of achieving/exceeding sales budgets/targetsStrong proficiency in automation tools (Make, Zapier, n8n) and modern GTM stacks (HubSpot, Salesforce, Clay, Apollo, Outreach).Ability to write code for scripting and data handling (Python, SQL, JavaScript) is highly preferred.A bachelor’s degree is required, with a preference for majors in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related fields.
