Role DescriptionA Go-to-Market Engineer focuses on building and managing systems to improve a company's marketing, sales, customer success and growth processes, with dual roles split between GTM Operations (building and optimizing the funnel) and GTM Engineering (acting as a technical advisor for customers). Both roles focus on leveraging the Clay platform and key integrations such as Gong, HubSpot and Salesforce to automate, personalize, and scale GTM strategies, working closely with sales, marketing, CS, and RevOps teams.
GTM Engineer (Operations)
Focus: Building and managing internal GTM systems and workflows.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement systems for pipeline management, deal acceleration, and post-sale handoffs.Automate processes to improve efficiency across the entire customer lifecycle.Collaborate with GTM leaders to turn high-level goals into scalable systems.Troubleshoot and fix issues in the sales and customer funnel.Use tools like SQL and a modern GTM stack.
GTM Engineer (Sales/Solutions)
Focus: Acting as a technical advisor to external customers to help them use Clay to solve business problems.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a trusted advisor to PE and SaaS customersTranslate Clay's technical capabilities into clear business value.Lead technical and business discovery calls to understand customer challenges.Create proof-of-concept workflows and compelling demos.Develop GTM collateral and presentations for executive audiences.
