Business Systems Engineer

Gusto Software Development
Hybrid Scottsdale, AZ Posted about 1 month ago $105,000 - $131,000 yearly

TL;DR

Gusto's plumbing needs a mechanic: they're looking for someone to wire up their business apps (NetSuite, Salesforce, AWS) so data flows clean and fast between 400,000+ small business customers.

Your canvas: custom code in SuiteScript and Apex, fresh AWS integrations, and a chance to turn spaghetti connections into a symphony of automated workflows.

Daily beat: build bridges between apps, spot data bottlenecks, automate manual work, and keep SOC 2 auditors smiling—all while planning the next five years of system evolution.

Who fits: 4‑6 years hands‑on with business systems, fluent in JavaScript and Python, comfortable in both AWS and Salesforce worlds, and excited to turn chaos into clean architecture.

The deal: $105‑131k in Scottsdale (2‑3 office days), similar hybrid setup in SF/Denver/NYC, plus the satisfaction of helping small businesses run smoother.
